Body image is one of the major problems in our society today. The society and media have projected images into our minds, telling us how we are supposed to look like. But the reality is, real women do not look like those air-brushed women on television and magazines.

Real women have curves. Real women have freckles. Real women should be allowed to celebrate their curves and flaws and accept themselves for who they are.

Women should cherish and love how they look no matter what. Beauty isn’t having the perfect figure or face, don’t get me wrong it is nice to have a nice figure but real beauty is about having a beautiful heart, soul, and mind. Feeling confident and being comfortable in your own skin is what REALLY makes you beautiful.

Here is one of my favorite quotes: “There is nothing more rare, nor more beautiful, than a woman being unapologetically herself; comfortable in her perfect imperfection. To me, that is the true essence of beauty.” -Steve Maraboli
